Sheldon Brown - THE internet resource for bike info for a long time. Slowly slipping out of date since Sheldon's death in 2008, but still a great resource for weird historic standards.

Ride with GPS Route Planner - Probably the best tool out there for mapping out rides. I've used it for long rides, multiday adventures, and mapping out bike art.
