In 2023, my wife and I moved to a big city. I discovered a large roller skating/blading community. Now I own skates.
I'm still a beginner. But I'm having a lot of fun learning. And not so much fun falling (hi wrist x-rays!)

They're pink. Very pink. And comfy.
They're technically a park skate, but I've been using them for "Roller Disco." I'm not good enough for that distinction to matter yet. Someday I'll learn to grind and use the grind blocks they came with.
The harder park wheels are fantastic on my apartment tennis court.

I'm starting to work on skating backwards.
The mental game of transitioning from forwards to backwards to forwards is getting to me.
Heel/Heel manuals have clicked though! They're fun!
