I always thought riding fixed gear bikes would be fun, so when work gave me a large bonus for a project, I went out and bought one. Turns out I was right, they are fun!

While she came with drop bars, I tried out flat bars and found them fun. Then I added a front rack, so the flat bars stayed. Because they stayed out of the way.

She's currently set up with sweep back riser bars. They're really upright, which definitely contrasts with the aggressiveness of the geometry.
It's comfortable.
There's also now a basket on the front rack. It's great for carrying things, but it does make the steering really slow. And if don't distribute weight in it well after a grocery run, she can tend to get a little wild and wobbly.

The bike came with fairly cheap hubs. The bearings (and races) in the rear pitted badly, so in 2022, I took that as a chance to learn to build wheels.
I used purple spoke nipples with it. For some flash of color.
So far, it's held true nicely for the time I've been riding on it.

I'm riding flat pedals with wide straps. And a front brake.
